SD Standards Conversion

The Snell & Wilcox Alchemist Phc digital standards convertor is recognized by all major television broadcasters as being the finest standards conversion available in the industry bar none. For this reason in keeping with Precision Transfers pledge of providing the best quality and services available we have installed the Alchemist Phc in our Toronto office. With this installation we have added all the bells and whistles so that we can offer not only the Alchemist conversion but also that of the “Phc” option which gives us the ability to provide the cleaning conversion of horizontally moving information such as pans, wipes or superimposed keys, we also have added the “Clean Cut” option which provides for indiscernible scene changes by providing a clean edit between scene changes. All of the processing in the Alchemist is done in a 10 bit digital method and all video signals are routed digitally to eliminate unwanted noise.
